![]() Towards the end things really came together and after spending a few minutes reading about the film on the official website (a really obscure place to find useful information) it all clicked.įor me, Lily Chou-Chou seemed real. Watching the film I felt confused by everything going on, especially the trip the boys took to Okinawa in the middle, and had trouble keeping up with who was who (these Japanese kids, they all look the same :). Yuichi is a fan of Lily Chou-Chou who seems to be an underground pop star. It follows the lives of a group of Japanese boys, in particular Yuichi, from young teens until about 16 or 17. Lily Chou-Chou is easily as stunning as Hotel Rwanda, maybe more so. I think I originally saw it in HMV a few weeks ago and quite wanted to watch it then but I doubt the £19.99 price tag agreed with me. I picked up Lily Chou-Chou in Fopp near the Tesco Metro in Manchester City centre.
